Summerween in The NEON District
SUMMERWEEN IS COMING TO THE NEON DISTRICT! Think Trunk-or-treating, but with businesses in The NEON District! Collect treats and giveaways; for kids, teens, and young at heart adults!
Who says you have to wait until October for Halloween?
Join us on Friday, July 31 for Summerween, a one-night-only celebration where spooky season meets summer fun! Stroll through the NEON District and visit decorated participating businesses while collecting candy, treats, and festive giveaways along the way!
Whether you’re a year-round Halloween enthusiast or looking for a fun family outing, Summerween is the perfect way to support local businesses, while celebrating the creative spirit of NEON.

Admission is free, costumes are encouraged, and Halloween lovers are especially welcome.
Registration required – we need to know how much ice cream and candy is needed!

BINGO Night at d’Art!
Set in our Main Gallery, enjoy the atmosphere and art while you BINGO your way to several available prizes!
Join us for an exciting evening of BINGO at the d’Art Center set in our picturesque Main Gallery! Bring your friends and enjoy a fun-filled night of community spirit along with light snacks and beverages, plus the chance to win multiple prizes. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy a classic game night, connect with others, and have a fantastic time!

August STIR Gathering
Network with other artists & with local art professionals in The NEON District; learn about local organizations & how to get involved.
*This networking event is for artists, creatives, people working in the arts, and arts administrators.
Join us for another gathering in The NEON District! Free to attend.
- Meet up at NEON District locations and see what the featured business has to offer.
- Network creatively with other artists and with local art professionals.
- Learn about local organizations, opportunities, and how to get involved.
STIR Gatherings provide a space for artists to network creatively with each other and with local art professionals, giving them the opportunity to learn about local organizations and how they can get involved.
These events also connect artists with the Norfolk arts district (The NEON District) by introducing them to the businesses that are located within it.
This STIR Gathering will take place at The Renova Center in The Natural Path Cafe & Studio. Attendees will learn about what this wellness center in The NEON District has to offer and enjoy the Cafe’s bites, bevies, and atmosphere.
All event registrants will receive one drink ticket (21 & up) and will be able to purchase additional alcoholic drinks if desired.
All registrants must either be an artist in Hampton Roads, work in the arts in Hampton Roads, be an arts administrator in Hampton Roads, or be a bussiness representative of The Renova Center.
There is street parking at The Renova Center, a parking lot in the back of the center off of Wilson St. The Opera House Parking lot is across the street from The Renova Center as well.

Fall Bazaar at The PLOT
Bringing shopping, small businesses, art, and live creativity to Norfolk’s NEON District; shop, explore, and experience art in the making!
Presented by The d’Art Center and The City of Norfolk’s Economic Development Department.
Celebrate the beauty of the season at The Fall Bazaar at The PLOT; an exciting fall marketplace showcasing local artisans and makers alongside fine art artists painting live and participating in a district wide plein air painting competition!

The Fall Bazaar (10am – 5pm) will feature a diverse selection of artisan and fine art vendors offering handcrafted goods, original artwork, jewelry, ceramics, and unique gifts. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet local creators, support small businesses, and discover one-of-a-kind pieces just in time for the fall season.
Fresh Off the Easel: NFK Paint-Out & Wet Sale (9am – 5pm) will take place as a featured event during The Fall Bazaar at The PLOT, where both accomplished and emerging plein air artists will spend the day painting on location (within the boundaries of The NEON District), capturing the unique character, architecture, and vibrant energy of the district in real time. Visitors are invited to watch the creative process unfold, interact with the artists, and experience the excitement of seeing each work come to life before the freshly completed paintings are offered for purchase during the Wet Sale.
The Wet Sale (with paint still drying!) will begin immediately after the competition at 3:30.
Whether you’re searching for original artwork, handcrafted gifts, or simply looking for a fun day immersed in creativity, The Fall Bazaar at The PLOT offers something for everyone.
Admission is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to spend the day exploring the NEON District while enjoying live art demonstrations, shopping, and the festive atmosphere.
