Thank you

Dear Friends of the d’Art Center,

As Norfolk’s thirty-year-old non-profit art center, our mission is to engage and educate the greater community through art. We are committed to remaining free and open to the public, so that anyone can Watch, Create, Learn, Collect, and Enjoy. Come visit us at d’Art at Duke!

We are committed to high quality art educational opportunities at the d’Art Center, including classes, workshops, and Summer Camp. We offer classes and workshops for all ages, skill levels, and interests. You can take classes in photography, ceramics, drawing, painting, fiber art, and many others. Our Summer Camp program, taught by art education professionals, embraces a cross-disciplinary approach where art combines with other topics such as leadership, science, math, and community.

D’Art maintains the Harbor Group International Gallery on-site, housing multiple exhibitions per year. Come see local professional ceramics, works by Virginia photographers, or even highly original wearable artworks from across the country. Exhibitions are enjoyable during a solo visit or within a larger group tour. Our exhibition receptions are free and open to the public, informal and friendly.

During your visit, you can engage with resident artists who maintain working studios on-site. Artists provide demonstrations, artistic advice, and works for sale. Visit our glass artist, photographers, painters, printmakers, mixed media and fiber artists, draftsmen, and ceramist on site.

We host art events and activities throughout the year, including on Thursday evenings. Join us for the annual Wearable Arts Festival, the d’Art Affair, or stop by for one of our Thursday evening art activities.

It is in part through support of our patrons like you that we are able continue our mission and programming for the public. Please consider supporting the d’Art Center with an individual donation. Though any donation size is appreciated, consider the suggested donation amount of $100.00 or more. Help support d’Art in NEON District!
