Volunteer with the d’Art Center
Contribute your time to make a better d’Art Center! Volunteering is good for the soul, and it makes our community a better place to live. Committing to as little as 8 hours per month will help the d’Art Center bring the creative process and artistic culture to Hampton Roads and beyond!
Anyone over 18, or over the age of 16 with parental permission. Knowledge of art is not necessary, but an interest in art is essential!
We have a variety of positions available. Some examples are Gallery Docent, Social Media Assistant, event staff, gallery assistant, facilities maintenance, administrative assistant, and many other opportunities.
During our operating hours of 10-5pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1-5pm on Sunday. Occasionally we will have events on weekend nights we will need help with.
The d’Art Center is located at 740 Duke St. Norfolk, VA 23510, first and second floor.
The d’Art Center is based on the creative process, and we need volunteers to make that happen! Volunteering with us will deepen your connection to the community, art and the artists that make it happen. Some benefts of volunteering include: tax deductions for transportation costs, networking with working artists, increasing your knowledge and experience with the creative process, meeting new people, and making Norfolk and the Arts district a better place to visit!
