We love our volunteers, their tireless support is invaluable to a non-profit art center. You can volunteer to help with Group Tours, Mailings, Art Openings, Holiday Gift Shop, d'ART Camp, Art Auctions ... our volunteers do it all!

The d'ART Center, located in the historic Selden Arcade in downtown Norfolk, is seeking a little help from its neighbors. This private, non-profit visual arts center is an enormous asset to the community and relies on volunteers to help keep things running.

Volunteering at the d'ART Center is an exciting and creative experience. Not only do our volunteers interact with award winning artists, they greet a wide variety of visitors iincluding local residents, school groups and tourists from all over the country.

For over twenty years the d’ART Center has served the Hampton Roads Community by connecting people with the visual arts, offering:

• FREE admission to 28 working Art Studios
• A full spectrum of Adult and Childrens Art Classes
• Changing regional & national art exhibitions in 5 sky-lit galleries
• d’ART Smart – a Community Outreach program
• FREE Saturday Art Demonstrations from 1-3PM

Our 50 resident artists and associate artists work with all types of visual art mediums, such as; oils, watercolors, clay, lampwork glass, photography and mixed media, offering our patrons a wide variety of one-of-a-kind artwork to experience.

We are asking for as little as two hours of your time each week. Volunteers work as receptionists, greeters, tour guides, and provide visitors with general information about the center. Orientation and training are provided. Knowledge of art is NOT required - but expect to learn a lot just from being around our artists!
