CARTOONING~ Ages 10-Adult
Ralph Irby, Instructor
This class exposes the serious student of cartooning to professional methods and procedures of the three main comic art forms: single panel grey cartoon, daily comic strip, and the comic book. Students produce all three in class and emphasis is on quality portfolio pieces. Storytelling, penciling, inking, lettering and coloring are all reviewed. Focus on the development of a personal signature style. Call 625-4211 for supply list.

MIXED MEDIA~ Ages 6-10

Class is structured to encourage students’ imagination and self-expression through the experience of several mediums. Students will be inspired to use their mind’s eye as they develop skills in the use of color, form, design and shape.

EXPERIMENTS IN CLAY~ Ages 9-14

EXPLORATION IN PAINT & MIXED MEDIA~ Ages 9-14
Clayton Singleton, Instructor
8 Sessions: Sat. Sept. 20- Nov. 8
Students will be encouraged to think outside the picture frame as they learn fundamentals of painting and mixed media. Class includes instruction on stretching canvas, handling different paint media, surface techniques, collage and more. There will be opportunity to participate in group and individual exercises and in-class assignments. They will be urged to plan, think critically and develop a personal artistic vision.
