Great American Family Dog & Cat Photo Exhibition

For the seventh year the d'ART Center has partnered with local Humane Societies to promote the Art of Photography and the Love of Animals with the Great American Family Dog & Cat Photo Contest.

If you are an amateur photographer who loves their pet - submit your photo(s) in the Great American Family Dog & Cat Photo Contest.

Photo Contest Entry Details:
- Entry Fee $5 per photo
- Submit 3"x 5" or 4"x 6" prints, no digital images please
- Include your name, phone # and pet(s) name on the back of each photo
- Include a self addressed stamped envelope. Photos must be available for reproduction
- Amateur photographers ONLY
- DOG(s) and/or Cat(s) photos accepted
- Deadline for Entry: July 31, 2010

Hundreds of  Dog and Cat photographs will be on exhibit at the d'ART Center in the Selden Arcade from August 7 - August 30, 2010. Admission if always FREE. 

The d'ART Center's 2010 Pet Parade Party will be held on August 7, 2010 ~
The Photo Contest Exhibition kicksoff with the Great American Family Dog and Cat Pet Parade Party being held Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 10-12 Noon.

Hundreds on Pet owners and their pets attended the festivities, along with:
- Norfolk SPCA
- Virginia Beach SPCA
- Portsmouth Humane Society
- Norfolk Animal Care Center
- Greyhound Rescue
- Belle Adore Dog Tags &
- K-9 Police Dog
- Tidewater Parent Magazine



Please BRING a PET FOOD or PET TOY DONATION for the SPCA and Humane Society Supply Drive. Donations will be accepted at the d'ART Center's Pet Photo Exhibition from August 7 - August 30, 2010 held at the d'ART Center in the Selden Arcade, 208 E. Main Street, Norfolk, VA 23510.  

Last year, Master of Ceremony Clayton Singleton made dogs, cats and owners feel welcome when he kicks off the Pet Parade, Pet Contests and the Awards Ceremony. Judges Linda Davis, Greg Bockheim and Abbey Calish and a ruff time picking this year's winning photographs. Congratulations to all who entered!
